A Paper delivered at a Canadian League of Rights International Seminar held at Vancouver, British Columbia on March 4, 1972.

The Author, L. Denis Byrne has had a long association with Canada. Sent by C. H. Douglas to advise the Aberhart Social Credit Government in Alberta, Mr. Byrne was a major figure in the historical struggle that took place against the forces of International Finance and International Revolution. 
He later became the British Trade Commissioner in Edmonton, retiring in 1971. In 1970 the Queen honoured him with the Order of The British Empire.

History is the endless record of experiments; a series that cannot be broken and of which there is never complete specification nor adequate separation from a multiplicity of similar operations. The movement of events cannot be arrested for examination and analysis, history shows and must show approximation upon approximation. Within itself each event appears to be complete and completed, it cannot be undone; but, as a part of a series which is one whole, what is so indeterminate as an isolated event? 
It seems conclusive, yet it is always moving on to fresh conclusions.

In 1966 The Macmillan Company, New York, and Collier-Macmillan Limited, London, published a revealing history in which the author claimed, in essence, that international financial groups, exercising power through the creation and control of financial credit on an international scale, had worked closely with Communists for the purpose of creating a New World Order. The author was no 'Right-wing extremist', but the prestigious American historian, Dr. Carroll Quigley, who formerly taught at Harvard and Princeton, and who has done special research in the archives of France, Italy and England. He subsequently became professor of history at the Foreign Service School of Georgetown University in Washington.

I started preparing this address on the day of the inauguration of America’s 44th President, Barack Hussein Obama. Anyone who listened to the opening and closing prayers, or the incoming President’s speech to the nation must have been impressed by the fervent hopes for a new beginning and an era of peace. Only a few, however, understood that the ceremony took place on a battleground; not so much between nations - Iraq or Afghanistan; Georgia or Gaza; the Congo or Zimbabwe; but between two spiritual proposals for the future of this planet - God or Mammon. Our Lord told us a long time ago that none of us could serve two Masters. That truth is the essence of a crisis now engulfing the world, driving us towards a catastrophe which threatens to dispossess and enslave us all.
